I bought a lovely Myford ML7 on ebay and picked it up yesterday.

It's fantastic. There are a few jobs that need to be done before use

  • Find out what grade of oil is required for the headstock bearings
  • Buy it
  • Buy an oil can
  • Investigate countershaft-headstock belt guard - it doesn't seem to fit properly - all loose and rattly
  • Investigate the cross-slide handle - tight and won't reverse without unscrewing
  • Build a stand
  • Add some power switching technology
  • Finish degree
